Financial support for undergraduate students

To stimulate integration of new students within our affiliated labs of ReSMiQ's institution members we have set up financial support for undergraduate students registered full time in these universities.

studentswill benefit from 2000$ as financial support.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Duration of 3 month
  • Starting May 1st, 2010
  • 2000$for the whole duration

ELIGIBILITY

  • Candidates must be available to work full or partial time during the summer semester in one of the affiliated laboratories
  • The project must be directed and the application signed by a researcher (member or associate member) affiliated to one of the institution members.
  • The application must be submitted by a researcher member of ReSMiQ who agrees to contribute to the financial support program.
  • The student must be registered as a full time B.Sc./Eng. student in one of the ReSMiQ’s member institutions.
  • The project must be related to the ReSMiQ's research program.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Be eligible according to the eligibility conditions mentionned above
  • Excellence of the academic record and research potential

APPLICATION

Each applicationMUST BE APPROPRIATELY ASSEMBLED AND SUBMITTED IN PDF FORMAT (ONE FILE ONLY) and contain the following information :

  • An letter of application (1 page maximum) cosigned by the candidate and the supervisor involved containing:
    • Name of the candidate
    • Name and affiliation of the supervisor
    • Title and a brief abstract of the project
    • Student's signature
    • Researcher's signature agreeing to contribute
  • An updated curriculum vitae containing:
    • Name and firstname
    • Current address
    • At least one phone number
    • An e-mail address
    • Immigration Status in Canada
    • Previous experience and diplomas
    • Scholarships and awards received (if applicable)
  • Student's official transcripts from the university registrar (one PDF + originals sent to administrative office of ReSMiQ)
